Black White Grey
Black White Grey is a stream of ideological consciousness in verse, authored by Shen Xingzhou and translated by Yě Yě.
It is an experimentation based around three colours. By symbolising and visualising text, deconstructing and reconstructing phrases and sentences, as well as employing details such as frames, the author intends to break the tradition of reading. Every blank, shadow and punctuation mark is meant to evoke a sense of connection in readers.
Chinese originals and English translations appear on facing pages.
